How do I set up the crime scene for my students to use?
Students will need to have access to a photograph of the crime scene ready to start their planning for Task 1, and this will need to be replicated for them to carry out their own preservation of the scene and collection of evidence in Task 2. Students will need to independently collect evidence from the crime scenes; they may not work in teams.
This depends on your school, your cohort size, and the resources and time available. You may be able to use an office or classroom, set up a single crime scene, and refresh between each student collecting their evidence. You may find that setting up multiple small, identical crime scenes in a large classroom may also be appropriate.
