What guidance is there for the pre-release materials?
Pre-release material for F181 will be available approximately 6 teaching weeks before the exam in January and June. For the pre-release, students will be provided with a clean hard copy of the pre-release materials in the exam, as an insert booklet. Students are expected to become familiar with this material prior to the assessment. They will not be able to take any notes into the exam with them.
Our specification indicates that students should spend approximately 3-4 hours detailed study on the pre-release material. It is up to you how you approach this preparation. This does not need to be in examined conditions, as they will be assessed on the pre-release material in the exam only. Students can carry out independent learning in preparation for the exam using this pre-release, and you are also able to support them within lessons.
