Can my poetry, novel or play be used in your specification?

We can’t accept requests directly from authors to include their work in our specifications. Please be aware that we don’t look to change our set texts on a regular basis as there needs to be stability for teaching and assessment. While we review text options every three years, changes will be considered carefully in situations where, for example, the current texts aren’t performing as expected or there is qualification development or reform. Any text change is carefully undertaken and we consider the suitability and accessibility of content, potential for assessment and, importantly, if the text meets the individual subject criteria produced by the DfE. We currently have no plans to make further changes to our set text lists but thank you for your interest.
