A Level English Literature component 03, if a text does not appear on the Text and Task tool database, does that mean it cannot be used?

There are hundreds of texts published each year that would be eligible for NEA use. In order to keep the database manageable, we have restricted new entries. However, we actively welcome proposals for texts that do not currently appear on the tool – particularly those that have been published very recently.

If you would like to use a text not on the database, select ‘Propose new texts’ in Text and Task tool and enter the details in the free-text box. Once submitted, this will be checked by the English Subject Advisor team, and we will send you written approval for the text wherever possible.
