Are students expected to be aware of the changing situation regarding the EU and Brexit?

The A Level Business does include the European Union  (specification - external Influences p17 - electronic page 23).  Awareness of external influences including the UK’s plans to leave the EU is useful however detailed knowledge of the politics is not required.

All the bullet points in this EU section of the specification refer to ‘a business’ therefore students should consider the EU from a business rather than a political point of view. For example included in this section is the requirement for learners to ‘evaluate the advantages and disadvantages to a business of the UK being/not being part of the EU and Eurozone.’
