Is there a list of key theorists?

There is no definitive list of key theorists for students to learn.

However, we have produced a guide which signposts towards key theorists whose work may be helpful for students to explore as part of the course. We also have an additional guide for theorists working in the area of Language and Gender. These guides are not definitive or prescriptive though, and schools might also want to look at theorists and theories that are not in the guides.

We recommend using the guides in conjunction with our glossary of terms and main language theories.
