How can my students practise for the exams?

Our Assessment Story resource is available for the specification A qualifications and provides a detailed breakdown of the examinations, including command words and assessment objectives. This will be useful for students to understand the design of the examination papers in more detail. These can be found in Teach Cambridge under Assessment > Assessment support.

There is also a Guide to Level of Response Questions for each qualification, found in Teach Cambridge under Teaching > Teaching delivery > Delivering core skills.

There are full sets of AS Level and A Level specimen papers available on Teach Cambridge under Assessment > Sample assessment materials.

In addition, secure practice papers are available on Teach Cambridge under Assessment > Practice materials.

Each year the previous year’s AS and A Level past papers, mark schemes and examiners’ reports are released on Teach Cambridge. The examiners’ reports can be useful in understanding common issues that have been seen. There are additional candidate exemplars available for some years. The Cambridge OCR ExamBuilder is an online service that allows teachers to build their own assessments using a bank of reformed and legacy questions. You can register to create your own Cambridge OCR ExamBuilder account here.
