Cambridge National in Engineering Design: Evidence requirements for R039 Task 3 - Production of engineering drawings

We have received a number of questions about what we expect students to do for Task 3: Production of engineering drawings.

For this task, students are expected to draw a 3rd angle orthographic drawing of their design idea along with an assembly drawing.

The assessment guidance states that production of drawings refers to either the use of drawing boards or CAD software. Students are no longer required to complete this task using a traditional method, the required drawings can be produced by CAD drawing or using traditional hand techniques such as a drawing board.
