The unit documents for all the internally assessed units have a grading criteria grid followed by an assessment guidance section. The grading criteria grid states the key requirement for each learning outcome, with the assessment guidance providing a more detailed explanation of the requirements to meet the different criteria.
For example, the grading criteria might state ‘Create sample materials to support the proposal’. The assessment guidance then describes the duration and format of these sample materials.
If you only use the grading criteria when assessing candidates, the work may not meet all the requirements set out in the assessment guidance.
The assessment guidance should be used in conjunction with the grading criteria when assessing internally assessed units.
