Should I enter my students for combined or separate sciences?

GCSE Combined Science and GCSE separate science assessments are designed to test the whole grade range. The standard on Combined Science is the same as separate sciences, it is not easier.

If you have a student who is better at one science over the other sciences, it may be worth thinking about entering them for separate sciences so that they are able to demonstrate their grades accordingly. Note that the exams for separate sciences are longer and you may wish to consider this for students on an individual basis.
