Please see here for the latest information for students completing in summer 2021 and teacher assessed grades (TAGs)
Where a student was due to take an assessment in summer 2020 and could not do so, an assessed grade will be available to them for the unit(s) in question. The assessment does not need to be taken.
This is to make sure students who were part way through their course in summer 2020 are not disadvantaged when compared to students on similar qualifications from other awarding organisations.
Students are eligible for an assessed grade if they were due to complete the assessment during the qualifying period 20 March to 31 July.

How will you know which units our students planned to take in summer 2020 if we did not submit a claim/make a unit test entry?
We will be contacting centres once we have confirmed the process for this. Please be reassured, if you did not submit a claim or make a test entry for your Cambridge Technicals students, we will still be able to issue an assessed grade for eligible students.
We intended for our students to complete the assessment in summer 2020 and submit them in 2020/21. Are the students eligible for an assessed grade?

We planned to teach the content in summer 2020 and carry out the assessment in 2020/21. We were impacted by the lost teaching time between March and July 2020 and the teaching was not complete. Are the students eligible for an assessed grade?
If students were not planning to complete the assessment in summer 2020, they are not eligible for an assessed grade. If disruption had not taken place, these students would not have taken the assessment in the period 20 March to 31 July.
We are continuing to discuss our arrangements with the DfE and our regulator Ofqual and we will keep you updated with details of further measures to help you better manage the challenges of COVID-19 as soon as we can.
If we choose to submit units that are eligible for an assessed grade, which result will OCR use?
If you choose to submit the units during 2020/21 which were eligible for an assessed grade (or sit the exam for examined units), we will use the best result between the summer 2020 assessed grade and the units you submit for moderation/taken the exam for towards the final grade. (Assessed grades will be generated at the end of the course.)
