If you have students who were expecting to complete assessments between 20 March and 31 July 2020, we will work with you to provide a calculated result.
We will provide you with more information about the process and how we will issue a calculated result week commencing 22 June 2020. The window to provide grades to OCR will be between 29 June and 17 July.
In order to prepare for this:
- Please do not submit any folders that have not been internally assessed yet or for students that you do not have submission folders or submission forms (NQF4/NQF5) to hand for.
- If you have already completed and internally assessed work ready to submit to OCR with the usual folders and submission forms, these can be submitted by 24 June 2020 using the standard submission process, however, there is no requirement to do so. We will work with you to provide a calculated result if you cannot submit completed assessments in the usual way.
- We will not be accepting any further submissions using the standard process after 24 June, you must use the calculated result (centre assessment grade) process.
- Results will be published by 20 August 2020.
For centres in Northern Ireland, an additional opportunity to submit centre assessment grades will be made available in August, dates to be confirmed.
Centre Assessment Grade Process
Identify the units candidates were due to complete (or you were due to submit assessments for) between 20 March and 31 July 2020.
Review evidence to support your centre assessment grades – see the guidance document for more details. The categories of evidence are:
Units already awarded to the candidate.
Centre-marked attempts at the live/practice assessments
Formative assessment results. Formative assessment is defined as assessment undertaken to check learning has taken place and assess progress towards the required level.
Any other work which the candidate has completed towards the qualification (such as work they have done in class or at home independently).
Candidate work demonstrating the skills needed for relevant units that has been completed in support of another qualification.
Complete the candidate submission form (this replaces the NQF4 candidate submission form). If you do not have an OCR candidate number, this can be left blank.
Complete the Head of Centre Declaration (This replaces the NQF5 despatch notification form)
Send the Head of Centre Declaration to your Head of Centre to confirm the details and sign
Email the candidate submission form and the Head of Centre Declaration to email@example.com by 17 July.
Entries (submission folders)
We do not require submission folders to be submitted with centre assessment grades but you must have a folder for each candidate submitted through this process. The folder should be retained within your centre with the centre assessment grade evidence.
If you do not have sufficient submission folders, you can make additional unnamed entries now, but do not delay the submission of your centre assessment grades whilst these are being despatched to your centre by OCR.
