AS and A Level Psychology: What are the mathematical requirements for standard deviation and variance?

Students may have to calculate the variance or standard deviation (either sample or population formula would be creditworthy).

The mathematical Requirements are listed in full in section 5.c of the AS or A Level which is available on Teach Cambridge.

Within both AS and A Level Psychology, 10% of the marks available within written examinations will be for assessment of mathematics (in the context of psychology) at a Level 2 standard, or higher.
