The A Level Business does include the European Union (p17 of the specification - External Influences). Awareness of external influences including the UK’s plans to leave the EU is useful, however, detailed knowledge of the politics is not required.
All the bullet points in this EU section of the specification refer to ‘a business’, therefore, students should consider the EU from a business rather than a political point of view. For example, included in this section is the requirement for learners to ‘evaluate the advantages and disadvantages to a business of the UK being/not being part of the EU and Eurozone.’
