The standard deviation calculation in the A Level Sample Assessment Materials does include the formula in the resource booklet. In the specification within section 4.4 standard deviation is not listed as a 'such as' and so therefore it is a listed quantitative skill, like mean, median, mode, range and Interquartile Range.
