The learner’s uniform mark for Unit R081 will be combined with the uniform mark (UMS) for the centre assessed units to give a total uniform mark for the qualification.
The learner’s overall grade will be determined by the total uniform mark and are awarded on the following scale:
- Distinction* at Level 2
- Distinction at Level 2
- Merit at Level 2
- Pass at Level 2
- Distinction at Level 1
- Merit at Level 1
- Pass at Level 1
To obtain a pass at Level 2 for the Certificate size qualification, 144 uniform marks across two mandatory and two optional units of assessment is required. 72 marks are required for a Level 1 Pass, below 72 an unclassified (U) result will be issued.
To achieve a pass at Level 2 for the Award size qualification, 72 marks across two mandatory units are required. 36 marks are required for a Level 1 Pass, below 36 an unclassified (U) result will be issued.
Each unit has a maximum of 60 UMS and the UMS mark is determined by the Raw>UMS grade boundaries each series. They can be found from results day in the grade boundaries area of the OCR website.
