It is up to you how much detail you want to include in your teaching, this will depend on the time you have available and the academic ability of your students. We have tried to help with this as there is no hidden content within the specification bullet points, therefore you do not have to teach additional material prior to teaching the bullet point.
Within the bullet points if we have used the wording 'including' it means you must cover all of the content as students could be examined directly in this. If we have used the term ‘such as’ in the specification, this is exemplification to support you as the teacher and we hope this provides clarity.
There is a glossary towards the back of the specification (p32) which lists a number of words that have been included in the teaching content (e.g. outline, summary, investigate or explore), this gives some indication about the level of detail in which you need to cover that particular bullet point.
