For Health and Social Care there are currently three methods of external moderation available to centres:
OCR Repository: This is a secure website where centres can upload candidate work. It can be found via OCR Interchange. Centres can use the OCR Repository for uploading marked candidate work for moderation. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the process before you begin to submit work.
Postal: Your exams officer will details for the moderator that has been allocated your centre. You put the candidates’ original work and all the necessary documentation in the envelope and post to the moderator. You must do this within three days of receiving the request. It is important to adhere to this deadline. If you have video to submit with the work this can be on CD/USB but it must be in the appropriate file format. You can find information on what types of file structures are accepted in Appendix C of the specification.
Visiting moderation (January and June only): you keep your candidates work at the centre ready for when the moderator visits. You will be given a date for the visit but note that the dates for visiting moderation are earlier than the deadlines for postal and repository moderation. The moderators will come to look at the initial sample. This work must be in rank order, by unit to allow moderation to take place. You must also have all the work that is not selected for initial sampling available for the moderator during their visit in case they need to extend their sample. Visiting moderation is not available in the November series.
You can find more information about moderation methods and dates/deadlines in section 4.6 of the specification
