There are some disability sports on the DfE list, please look at these first before proceeding. If these are not appropriate for you then please refer to section 1e of the Guide to NEA. This section details the activity adjustment process. Centres may apply to amend the assessment criteria of approved activities via the activity adjustment process. For candidates with a long-term disability, please apply via the activity adjustment submissions process to adapt activities to meet their needs and do not apply for special consideration. If your candidate chooses to not apply for adaptations and as a result has no sport they can be assessed in, then it is not possible to award them marks for this part of the assessment.
Both reasons must be applied for prior to the 1 December of the first year of study. That is in Year 10 for GCSE or Year 12 for A Level.
Full details can be found in section 1e of the Guide to NEA. The form for completion can be found on the subject page of the OCR website:
- We cannot approve any activity that requires motorised equipment including motor cross, go-karting or rally driving.
- You can only apply for adjustments to existing sports on the DfE list, as covered in the qualification specification.
