The design of the Sociology AS and A Level specifications mean that effective co-teaching is easily achievable with only minor concessions to the different assessment requirements for each component of the course.
There is a major overlap between the content in the AS Sociology course and components 1 and 2 of the A Level course. The assessment is slightly different for each but this should not cause significant problems in terms of delivery and preparation for the AS exam.
We have produced a Guide to Co-teaching containing two sample curriculum plans suggesting how the course could be taught, including further information and advice. This is available on Teach Cambridge under Teaching, Teaching & Delivery guides.
