A Level Media Studies: Will the unseen sources in the News exam be from The Guardian and The Daily Mail?

Questions on media language and representation in the News section will always be in relation to unseen sources.  This will be either: 

• newspapers other than The Guardian and The Daily Mail  (e.g. The Sun or Times as exemplified in the SAM) either print or online webpage or social and participatory feed; or 
• The Daily Mail or The Guardian (print or online website or social and participatory feed) chosen from outside the period studied paired with another newspaper (print or online website or social and participatory feed) 

The two unseen sources will be linked in terms of themes or issues.  

The Daily Mail and The Guardian will never appear together as unseen sources. 

Questions on media industries and audiences will require reference to The Guardian and The Daily Mail.
