AS and A level Drama and Theatre: Can a digital or recorded version of a live performance be used for Section B of the written paper?

Students may use a live stream or digital recording for the Live theatre Evaluation part of the exam, but a live piece of theatre must also have been seen during their course. There is a Live Theatre Statement to be filled in and returned to OCR - the statement is to confirm that you have made arrangements for this and all students had the opportunity to see a live performance. Sometimes events/circumstances will prevent a student (or all students in the event of a cancellation by the theatre) from being able to go, this is why the Live Theatre Statement says "Your centre has taken reasonable steps to make sure all candidates have experienced live theatre where they are a member of the audience in the same performance space as the performers."
